Navignostics Wins Swiss Technology Award in Start-ups Category
Navignostics, a precision oncology company with roots in TPC-affiliated research, has been awarded the prestigious Swiss Technology Award 2025 in the Start-ups/Rising Stars category. The Tumor Profiler Center extends warm congratulations to the Navignostics team for this outstanding achievement.
Founded in 2022 as a spin-off from the University of Zurich Bodenmiller Lab, Navignostics has developed innovative spatial single-cell proteomics technology that analyses tumor and immune cells directly in tissue. This breakthrough approach enables clinicians to determine the composition, interactions and resistance mechanisms of cancer cells, supporting personalized therapy decisions for late-stage cancer patients.
The award jury particularly highlighted Navignostics' razor-sharp focus on supporting tumor boards in selecting the optimal therapy for each patient. CEO Jana Fischer accepted the award at the Swiss Technology Award Night on November 26, 2025, held at Switzerland Innovation Park Zurich in Dübendorf as part of the Open-I innovation conference.
Navignostics operates as an independent company, having originated from research conducted in the laboratory of Prof. Bernd Bodenmiller, a TPC Principal Investigator and co-founder of Navignostics. The company's technology combines highly multiplex protein imaging with advanced data analytics, validated through over a decade of translational and clinical research.
The Tumor Profiler Center celebrates this recognition of scientific excellence and entrepreneurial success, proud to see innovation connected to our research community receive national distinction. This achievement underscores the impact of translating cutting-edge academic research into real-world solutions that improve patient care in precision oncology.
