Beatrice Beck Schimmer is the Chair of the Network University Medicine Zurich (UMZH) and a Professor of Anesthesiology. She is responsible for the strategic development of the Network UMZH, which brings together the University of Zurich, ETH Zürich, and the university hospitals. Her focus is on advancing medical research, educating future physicians, fostering academic career development, and promoting equal opportunities. Additionally, Beatrice Beck Schimmer serves as the Vice President of Medicine and a member of the Executive Board of the University of Zurich (UZH). Collaboratively, alongside the Dean and Deputy Dean, she also leads the Faculty of Medicine, overseeing its operations and initiatives.

Annette Oxenius is Vice President for Research and Professor of Immunology at the Department of Biology (D-BIOL) at ETH Zurich. Her research group focuses on cellular immunity in acute and persistent viral infections, with particular emphasis on understanding T and B cell responses, T cell differentiation, and immune regulation mechanisms. As Vice President for Research, she promotes excellence in research across ETH Zurich, supports researchers at all career levels, and is responsible for scientific integrity and quality assurance. She has been a full Professor at ETH Zurich since 2012, following her Assistant Professorship (2002-2007) and Associate Professorship (2007-2012).

Daniel Staub is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of University Hospital Basel, a position he assumed in July 2025. He previously served as Chief Physician of the Department of Angiology (2013-2025) and Medical Head of the Department of Circulation, Thorax and Transplantation (2021-2025). With over twenty years of experience at University Hospital Basel, his clinical and research focus is in vascular medicine and angiology. As CMO, he is a member of the hospital management and Co-Head of the Medical Directorate, responsible for leading and developing the medical departments while promoting modern care models, patient-centered approaches, and personalized medicine.
